Terms of Service

Welcome to Dukkan. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using Dukkan, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Account Terms

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of Egypt or an authorized country to use this service. You must provide accurate, complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Dukkan cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

2. Merchant Obligations

As a merchant on the Dukkan platform, you agree to sell only legal products and services, provide accurate product descriptions and pricing, fulfill orders in a timely manner, comply with all applicable Egyptian laws and regulations, maintain honest and transparent business practices, and respond to customer inquiries and disputes promptly.

3. Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan. All fees are quoted in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and are non-refundable except as required by law. Transaction fees are applied per the pricing plan you have selected. Dukkan reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice. Failure to pay fees may result in suspension or termination of your account.

4. Platform Fees

Dukkan charges platform fees based on your subscription plan. These fees are deducted from each transaction processed through the platform. The current fee structure is outlined on our pricing page. Payment gateway fees charged by third-party providers (Paymob, Fawry, Kashier, etc.) are separate from Dukkan platform fees and are passed through at cost.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use Dukkan to sell counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods, engage in fraudulent activities or deceptive business practices, harass, abuse, or harm other users, distribute malware or engage in phishing, violate intellectual property rights of others, or manipulate reviews, ratings, or other platform mechanisms. Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination.

6. Intellectual Property

The Dukkan platform, including its design, logos, and software, is the intellectual property of Dukkan and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Merchants retain ownership of their product content, images, and brand assets uploaded to the platform. By uploading content, you grant Dukkan a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content as part of the platform services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, Dukkan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the use of the platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Dukkan in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. Dukkan will retain your store data for 30 days after termination, during which you may request an export. After this period, data may be permanently deleted. Dukkan reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
